    Growth At An Unprecedented Rate

In the Middle East and North Africa region, expansion of the power sector is advancing at an unprecedented rate. The commencement of the GCC Grid Interconnection project has wide ranging implications for the region and beyond. The International Energy Agency forecasts the need for an additional 269 GW in the region by 2030 at a cost of $458 billion and predicts Saudi Arabia and the UAE to have the fastest growth rates in the period to 2010.
Bahrain in particular is experiencing a rapidly growing demand for electricity and water. In response, the government has announced it will privatize the power and water sector in five years causing a buzz of excitement in the industry. The Hidd power plant is being expanded and the initial phase of the country’s first independent power project at Al Ezzal is scheduled to begin commercial operation in 2006.
Opportunities for success in the region's booming power market will be on show at POWER-GEN Middle East 2007. Do not miss your chance to grab your share of the market. Whether as a speaker, exhibitor or attendee, make a date to join us in Bahrain next January 22 - 24, 2007 and make your presence felt.
The sure way to miss success is to miss the opportunity............
