Conference introduces new session with top speakers

The POWER-GEN Middle East conference is delighted to announce a new addition to the already exciting conference schedule.
"Regional and Global Power Markets - the leading international players perspective" is a fantastic addition to the conference schedule and introduces top speakers from the industry's major players, including:
Lothar Balling, Vice President Steam Power Plants and Emerging Plant Solution Business at Siemens Power Generation will make the opening presentation of a new session entitled "Regional and global market power markets - The leading international players' perspective".
Richard Maali, Commercial Director of Ansaldo Energia, is the second high profile coup for the regions premier conference, and will be also joining the new conference session.

Growth in Exhibitors at POWER-GEN Middle East

Exhibitors continue to confirm their commitment of attendance at the forthcoming POWER-GEN Middle East Conference and Exhibition 2007 to be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre from 22nd to 24th January 2007.

Growth at an unprecedented rate
The commencement of the GCC Grid Interconnection project has wide ranging implications for the region and beyond. The International Energy Agency forecasts the need for an additional 269 GW in the region by 2030 at a cost of $458 billion and predicts Saudi Arabia and the UAE to have the fastest growth rates in the period to 2010.
Bahrain in particular is experiencing a rapidly growing demand for electricity and water. In response, the government has announced it will privatize the power and water sector in five years causing a buzz of excitement in the industry.

MAPNA support POWER-GEN Middle East

MAPNA, the power plant projects management company in Iran, have confirmed their support and sponsorship of POWER-GEN Middle East Conference and Exhibition 2007 to be held in Bahrain in January.
The Bahrain International Exhibition Centre will host POWER-GEN Middle East, the region¿s leading conference and exhibition dedicated to the power generation industry, from 22nd to 24th January 2007.
Iran Power Plant Projects Management Co. (MAPNA) was established in February 1993 by the Ministries of Energy and Industry of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a private company, with the primary objective of undertaking the development and implementation of power plant, utility and industrial projects.
MAPNA acts as an economic institute for the execution and management of power plant and industrial projects inside or outside of the country.
MAPNA are providing great support to the event through their commitment of sponsorship and attendance at POWER-GEN Middle East.
